Letting Go

I'm often afraid of letting go, because I think I won't find something as good. But what I don't really realize is that God is with me, and He is not only good, He's the best. Plus He's always gonna be with me.
So, at the moment, it's like I have to let go of stuff and put it in His hands. And that's hard. BUT...
You know sometimes when you look back on things that have happened - and you feel like it was all planned from the beginning, like someone knew what was going to happen and made sure it happened. That's God, being with you and doing his acts of wonder. Because He knows the future. Also, today when we were doing bible studies together, Mom was saying that everything happens for a reason with God, and everything has a consequence. Which I think is true.
So, basically, He knows what's going to happen. And I'm going to base my trust in Him on that, as well as all the great things in my life that He has done.
There isn't anything or anyone in this life who has given me such a great a gift that He did - life. He died to pay for my sins and so I know that I can definitely be willing to go with Him wherever He wants me to go and to trust in Him.
Whenever I feel sad about having to let go, I'm going to remind myself that God will always be with me. I'll remind myself about these things...

He will give me joy.
He knows what is good for me.
He is eternal.
He is the one who gave me all of this in the first place.

Thank you for reading. I'd really love it if you would pray that I will give up all I have for Him, and let go for Him. He's beyond worth it.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not evil, to give you a future and a hope." - Jeremiah chapter 29 verse 11

Inspiration From Pinterest

I don't usually do posts like this...but I'm sick today and even though I don't feel very creative I thought I'd just share some stuff I've pinned that inspire me.

Just focus.

This is very true...learning the hard way is hard, but at least we're different and know something new in the end.

If you answer every question kindly, approach every situation willingly, forgive everytime, and do good works lovingly, it will cover over a multitude of sins.

Whenever I feel ungrateful I say this to myself.

It's wonderful to wake up and feel this.

Imagination is a wonderful thing.

I pray to God often that I will always trust in Him and have hope.

Is it kind? Is it nessecary? That's what my Mom always says - think about other people before saying or doing something.

Love my family!

This is encouraging.

The bible also says to not worry about tomorrow, tomorrow has its own worries.

I want to make it a habit to look for the good in others and speak kind words.

I hope you were inspired as well. :)

Party Pics

Alright! So, everyone, here are the pictures that I promised. Hudson turned eight on the 8th of May, 2013. Mila turned six on the 19th of May, 2013. I love them both so much, they are very precious, smart, good-looking, creative and just wonderful. We had a party for them on the 15th of May, 2013. Here are the pictures. :) Sorry I didn't get very good ones...

^ That's the party table.

^ Mila's cake. Perrin made it - isn't it lovely? The roses are made out of white chocolate and the cake is fridge cake. It was DELICIOUS.

^ This is Hudson's cake, the one Mom and I made. To make the grass, we died coconut green and put it around the scorpion. We made the limbs and tail out of date ball batter (If you want to do the same, use any date ball batter recipe) and shaped them with our hands. The body, pincers and stingers are made out of chocolate bean cake, sugar-free, wheat-free and gluten-free, oh, and, yummy! Here's a link to the recipe.

^ Here's a close up of one of Perrin's wonderful roses. Doesn't it look so real and so beautiful?

^ This is the scorpion cake from a different angle.

^ I went in closer with the camera, to show you the fly that the scorpion is eating. Eww, I know! But Hudson, being a typical boy, liked it!

^ Mila blowing her candles out. Such a pretty birthday girl!

We had so much fun! Mila and Hudson loved it. Thanks for reading!

Winner of My Cat Photography Challenge (And Some Apologies)

Okay, so let me start with the winner of my challenge. It is...

Kelly!

Congratulations, Kelly! Your photo was wonderful. : )
Now, as for the apologies...well, firstly, I'm sorry for not posting the winner of the challenge sooner. But I am also sorry that I haven't posted the pictures I promised from the party yet. You see - the computer of ours that has all of my photos on and photoshop on isn't exactly avaliable, because of a problem with the mouse. So I can't use it. We have ordered a new mouse, and I think I will be able to share the party fun with you soon; hopefully I'll post the pics this week.
Well, that's all! Congrats to Kelly again. She is a great photographer.
And thank you for reading this!

P.S. I'm also going to apologize for the pictures you'll see on my blog of the party. I'm afraid I didn't get very good ones.

Sneak Peak: Forthcoming Attractions

Yes. Some 'in the future' stuff that might catch your eye. :) By the way, when I say in the future, I mean tomorrow. It's Mila's and Hudson's party, and we've made a special cake for both of them. I've taken photos of Hudson's cake, a work in progress - but Mila's cake (which Perrin finished making today) I won't be able to show you. Anyway...can you guess what the cake is? Well, don't bother, here are some photos.

It's not iced yet and definitely not finished. So, you realized that it's a scorpion, right? All credit goes to my Mom for thinking up of such a great cake. She also made the limbs of the scorpion and the tail out of date ball batter. I made the body, mouth pieces, pincers and stinger. It was a big team effort, and we've had a lot of fun making it! If you want to see the final version and maybe some pics from the party, then visit my blog again soon. Plus, I'll post the recipe, too.

Entries To My Photo Challenge

Hi guys - I am so sorry that this is late, I forgot to do it on the 10th of May, so I'm doing it today. Here are the entries:

Sarah Elizabeth

Kelly

Such beautiful white fur.

Thank you both so much for entering! Anyway, here's how to vote...there will be a poll on my sidebar at the top. Just choose which pic you like best. :)

People Who Are Presents From God

I think that some people are put in our lives because God just knows we're gonna love them. He knows that they are the right person for us - He knows that they will bring us plenty of joy and that they will be our sunshine when skies are grey. Do you have someone or some people in your life like that? I do...and sometimes I just think about them and immediately get really happy because there mere existence is a source of joy to me. Those types of people are presents from God. I'm not really saying that there's only one sort of type - not only one sort of personality that continues to make us smile everyday; but there are different presents for different people.
Say it's Christmas and you're buying presents for your family...would you get them all the same thing, or would you get them each what you think they will like? So God really thought about what we would need and want. He loved us so much that He made a special friend for each and everyone one of us. And, the more you think about that, isn't it absolutely wonderful? Also, Jesus is our friend. Once again, God loved us so much that He gave His only Son, Jesus...
I was inspired to make this blog post when I saw that image above on Pinterest, because I realized that there are a lot of people in my life who are presents from God. I just wanted to give thanks to Him today, for those people. :)
