Goodbye, Mandela

Last night, Nelson Mandela passed away at age 95...it's an extremely sad thing for a lot of people all over the world. He was a wonderful example for any leader. This post is a tribute to him; I decided to add some quotes of his.

I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who feels no fear, but he who conquers it. ~Nelson Mandela

It always seems impossible, until it's done. ~Nelson Mandela

Do not judge me by my successes, judge me by how many times I fell and got back up again. ~Nelson Mandela

Resentment is like drinking poison and hoping it will kill your enemies. ~Nelson Mandela

I've never met the man, but I respect him all the same. So goodbye, Mandela. We'll miss you.

    1. Yes, he was the first black president of South Africa. He was a freedom fighter, and he spent 27 years in jail - but when he came out and had the power to get his revenge, he chose to forgive. He chose peace. And even after he wasn't president, we regarded him as a leader of South Africa.
